We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are ready to get back to

dancing! Thank you so much for all the lovely cards and gifts you gave us for Christmas.

THANK YOU

Eight of our senior students had the amazing opportunity to work with Eliot Smith Dance for

their production POPPY at the Playhouse on Remembrance Sunday. This was a fantastic

experience for the girls to work with a professional company.

Thank you and a huge well done to all our students who took part and made decorations

for the Christmas Tree Festival at St Michael’s Church, it was a magical event and we hope

to be invited to participate again this year.Also- a big thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Party, it was lovely to see you all having fun in your sparkly outfits!

You raised an amazing £70 to add to our 2026 Show Fund!

Congratulations to Miss Hannah on her engagement to Ryan, we are so excited for you

both. Good luck with the wedding planning.

Miss Hannah will be moving on to a new full-time position at The University of York. She will

be with us until the 24th of January on a Saturday, to enable a smooth transition. We would

like to take this opportunity to thank Miss Hannah for all her wonderful teaching and

creativity and to wish her good luck with her new job and hope that she will be back to visit

us again soon.

We are delighted to welcome onboard Miss Jen Davis who will be taking over from Miss

Hannah and continuing the Contemporary classes along with ballet and Modern. Miss Jen

is a former pupil of AAD and has recently completed her full-time training at Trinity Laban

Conservatoire, graduating with a BA Hons Degree. As well as dancing to advanced level in

both modern and ballet with the ISTD and RAD, Miss Jen's expertise lies in contemporary

dance, we look forward to her developing our contemporary classes and building on the

foundation that Miss Hannah has started with our junior dancers. Please watch this space

for other exciting opportunities Miss Jen will be bringing to AAD classes! Miss Jen is

delighted to join the team and looking forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks.

CLASS TERMINATION POLICY:

The date for this term is SATURDAY 14th FEBRUARY

Notification to terminate any class with us, Pre- Primary level and above, is required at the

half term. This is to allow us sufficient time to adjust the timetable for the following term,

should any class no longer be viable due to low numbers. Hall hire and staff hours are

booked and arranged before the start of each term, therefore any sudden cancellation of a

student's classes has a financial impact on all concerned.

UNIFORM

Could we take this opportunity to remind you all to check the uniform requirements for

your child’s classes and ensure they have the correct uniform for each class they attend.

Warm Up Tops and Cardigans are available for the colder months.

Hair must be neat, tidy and appropriate for all classes. For all students in Grade 3 Ballet

and above, a classical bun is compulsory. FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM
